All about WEATHER!
Kindergarten students have shown a big interest in weather this year. We have been reading many different books about the weather, created a huge list of questions that we were wondering about, and enjoyed learning about all types of weather from a local chief meteorologist, Austin Chaney, during class.
March: field trip to the Aquarium, Dr. Seuss week, and more!

It's been a busy week in Kindergarten!
We enjoyed dressing up for Homecoming spirit week, explored the fire station along with a walk to the park, and learned so many things about apples! We ended the week with making homemade crockpot applesauce to celebrate Johnny Appleseed and the beginning of a new season!

Another great week in Kindergarten!
Students have become independent with their chromebooks and logging into a few different learning sites. We will continue to work on the formation of letters, especially in our names. We even make our names with playdough this week to work on fine motor hand strength.

This week in Kindergarten, we've been working hard on writing our names and practicing proper letter placement on the lines. We've enjoying diving deeper into our math concepts and learning how to properly write our numbers. Students enjoyed eating their snack outside in lawn chairs while enjoying the nice weather.
This week in Kindergarten, we've been working on hand strength, learning all about mat man and how to add details to our pictures, learned basic math concepts with paired sharing and interactive work, and completed assessments in order to track yearly growth. We've also spent time building relationships, exploring different parts of the room that interest us, and learned all about what it means to compromise.
Our first week of Kindergarten!
It's been an amazing first few days of Kindergarten! We have enjoyed building a classroom family, exploring colors, learning expectations for different areas around the school, and created our class poster for our "wonders" for the year.
